Abstaining from chocolate

Okay, friends, I need some moral support. I'm seriously worried about my chocolate addiction and decided it was time to stop saying, "After this bowl of ice cream I'll be good."
I thought a pledge to the entire world (or all 46 of you who follow this blog) would help me stick by my morning workout convictions. Isn't it amazing how healthy you plan on being when you're in the middle of a workout?
Here's my plan: No chocolate or ice cream Monday through Thursday. Friday through Saturday I can have a small treat as needed (every hour?).
What do you think? Too strict? Please don't tell me if you think it's pathetic because this is a really big step for me!
If you want to join my chocolate free pledge or make one of your own, leave a comment below. I would love some crazy friends with me on this journey. Thanks!

  1. I think that's a good goal. I've been working with a nutritionist on my own addiction to sweets. The first week, she asked me to eliminate them entirely, and the second I could have 400 calories of sweets, but my indulgence had to be planned.

    1. That's so smart. It's amazing once it's out of my system how I'm really okay. For me it's that mental switch that I sometimes don't want to make!

  2. I think it's a great goal. I enjoy chocolate too, but my weakness is sweets - just about any flavor, LOL! I also LOVE homemade chocolate chip cookies, yummy! :-)

    1. Did you have to bring up the cookies? Love them! It's amazing how many options of yummy junk food there is. So hard!
Thanks for stopping by the blog,

  3. Hello! Chocolate is an important food group. Did you not know this? Maybe you could exchange your bowl of ice cream for a single piece of Dove Dark Chocolate. Eaten in 4 small melt-in-your-mouth bites, they are wonderfully satisfying and then you don't have to go to such extreme measures! What are you thinking, woman????
