Feeling Huge

This pregnancy has really done a number on my self-esteem. Even though I'm trying to strength train and do cardio I'm gaining a lot of weight, my muscles have all gone to squish, and I have cellulite on the front of my thighs (we're not even looking at the back anymore). Have you ever seen cellulite on the front of someone's thighs? Disgusting.
I know I'm growing an angelic baby and I am thrilled about that.
How do all of you keep things in perspective when you're expecting, hormonal, aching, and wondering if a second bowl of ice cream isn't a fabulous idea?

  1. Second bowl of ice cream? What? You actually took time to put in into a bowl? You're miles ahead of me!

  2. Haha. Thanks Kim. I needed that. I keep justifying that they are small bowls, but the way I fill them up negates the size! You'd think the heartburn would slow me down, but now I just chomp on more Tums!

  3. You realize that THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!! Just a "snippet" of time in the BIG PICTURE and I'm CERTAIN once she's here all will be well!
AND after you've recovered...you'l be hitting it HARD again and get your weight off! NO worries about the icecream!

  4. Thanks, Roxy. I definitely needed that. Why is it so hard for us to give ourselves a break for a minute?

  5. It is hard to give ourselves breaks. I'm in a similar situation - happy to be having a child, but worried about how my body will get as these months progress...It can be so hard!

anyways, I hope things go well for you. I love checking in on this blog.

  6. Thanks, chococatania and good luck with your baby. When are you due? It's the coolest kind of miracle to be pregnant, but also a bit scary.
Blessings to you and your family,
    Cami
